worth seeing Schweinfurt
Armory
Weapons and coats of arms
The armory in Schweinfurt served as a warehouse and arsenal. Built around 1589/90, the tail gable and the stair tower shape the outer facade. A gold-plated coat of arms of Rudolf II also adorns the stair tower. Today the armory is a "house of families" with a babysitter exchange, midwifery consultation and specialist offices with a focus on families and children.
Interesting
Cannon balls are built into the western house wall. They commemorate the Swedish siege and conquest of Schweinfurt in the 30 Years War in 1647.
