Ebracher Hof
Tithe barn and cistercian
An architectural masterpiece awaits you when you see the Ebracher Hof. The complex used to be a farm yard for the Cistercian monks from Ebrach Monastery. In the main building that has been preserved there is now a hotel and restaurant. The city library is housed in the tithe barn. You are amazed at the hollowed-out forecourt and the glass lantern with a view of the lower level of the library. The bookshelves are built between old half-timbered buildings up to the third floor.
Interesting
In the window front of the neighboring house, the windows are structurally aligned differently so that the mirror image of the former tithe barn can be seen.
