Linear Pottery Museum

7500 years ago, the small group of Stone Age people did an over one thousand kilometers march before founding the first village in Germany - Schwanfeld.

The oldest Linear Pottery settlement of Germany is becoming alive in this interactive museum with over 400 exhibits and replicas.  Copies of original broken fragments and arrowheads demonstrate the whole colourful and entire magnificence.

Living Museum

Let Your kids play and discover the museum without worries. Hats and stone age jewellery are laid out for the little stone age farmers nowadays. With the right clothing, grinding crops as 7500 years ago works better. Touch and try out almost everything.
