The bird collection of the brothers Schuler
The three brothers Schuler from Schweinfurt once went out into the big, wide world. At the end of the 19th century, Ludwig Schuler arrived in Madagascar. Fascinated by the faunal biodiversity, he sent hundreds of bird study skins to his home town. 1892 he donated over 300 stuffed birds to Schweinfurt city.
Blackbird, thrush, finch and starling - everybody knows these birds. Kestrels, birds of paradise and parakeets are sitting togehter in detailed glass cases. The birds are presented in their natural environment. Pictures, drawings and information boards show You the wohle world of ornithology.
