Moated castle à la Sleeping Beauty
The moat is dry, the stone bridge is reclaiming nature. Hidden behind trees is a moated castle that is over 700 years old. At the corner towers and the four floors you can guess the former grandeur of the complex. The castle still belongs to the old Franconian noble family of Truchsesse.
A hidden treasure
Go on a treasure hunt: according to a legend, a gold chain is built into the foundation walls of the castle to protect the castle from decay. A far more beautiful treasure can be found behind the castle pond. A green paradise with scented fences, old trees and atmospheric arrangements. Here you can recharge your batteries and inspiration. Entry to the garden is free. In the neighboring forester's house you will find the Franconian cake treasure from Henriette Dornberger.
