Wine festival, theater and winter magic

Julius Echter was prince-bishop of Wurzburg. At the end of 16th century he bought the Oberschwarzach castle. He rebuilt it to be his new deanery. Afterwards a police station was located in the castle and it got used as dwelling house for a forest warden and a clergyman.

Today the castle is a 3-story Renaissance Palace. You can enjoy the romatic atmosphere at great events. Try franconian wine at the cosy Palace Wine Festival or taste the hot spiced wine besides a bonfire.
