Places to Visit
Grafenrheinfeld
Towered over by the parish church's twin towers, Grafenrheinfeld proudly bears the name "Village of the Rococo" in many books. A number of well-preserved wayside shrines and housemaids still bear witness to this earlier splendor.
The old town of Grafenrheinfeld with its numerous historical squares and buildings has been spruced up and is absolutely worth seeing after extensive renovation work. The church square, which is under ensemble protection, is one of the most beautiful in Lower Franconia. The Catholic parish church "Kreuzauffindung" with its splendid interior and the Winterhalter organ, the nursing home and the former administrative bailiff as a baroque building (today an inn and hotel) characterize the church square. The renaissance-style town hall or the church treasure museum in the former brewery are also worth seeing when strolling through the town.
In terms of culture, Grafenrheinfeld has a lot to offer: The Grafenrheinfeld Culture Hall hosts top-class guest performances by cabaret artists, theater and dance ensembles, and concerts. The association "Musica Sacra Grafenrheinfeld e.V." organizes the concert series "Sound Art" with concerts and church services in the baroque church Finding the Cross.
But nature lovers will also get their money's worth in "Rafeld". Idyllic nature frames the cultural treasures of the village. The Auenwald Elmuß, the Alte Main and the Sauerstück-See are under nature protection and offer numerous bird species a home and can be discovered on foot or by bike. The well-tended natural bathing lake invites you to swim and relax.
For motorhome enthusiasts, the "Hermasweg" motorhome parking space is available directly at the Grafenrheinfelder Baggersee. The parking space is quiet but still central and has power columns as well as supply and disposal facilities.
