Grettstadt
The large community of Grettstadt, located in the Schweinfurt Mainbogen, is made up of the districts of Obereuerheim, Untereuerheim, Dürrfeld and Grettstadt. Every village in the municipality looks back on a long history, and it is worth looking for traces. Historic monuments worth seeing can be discovered. Due to the well-developed bike paths and footpaths, this is also easily possible by bike or on foot.
The main town Grettstadt attracts with a historical ensemble in the center, consisting of the town hall, the church and a several hundred year old step linden tree. The town hall built in 1590 in the Gothic style is one of the most beautiful Franconian half-timbered town halls.
In Dürrfeld, the town hall, a half-timbered building from 1594, is particularly worth seeing. On a hill in Obereuerheim, the castle built by the Barons of Bibra and the church of St. Laurentius tower over the entire village. Due to the renewal of the village, Untereuerheim presents itself as a beautiful place, especially worth mentioning are the St. Galllus church with a baptismal font from 1592 and the castle mill, which is still in operation today.
