Bergrheinfeld emerged from an old Franconian street village with natural stone houses on the eaves in the town center and bordered by the Main in the east. The community is located on the southwestern edge of Schweinfurt, directly on the Main Cycle Route and the Wern Cycle Route. The Garstadt part of the municipality is also located directly on the Main Cycle Route and is known for its viticulture. The first vineyards greet you from the steep slopes of Garstadt at the beginning of the Main loop, today two wineries are active in Garstadt.

Bergrheinfeld and its townscape as well as the cultural life have benefited from the completion of the redesign of the old town. The former office building under Prince-Bishop Julius Echter, which was built in the 16th / 17th century and is currently used as the town hall, is worth seeing. The tithe barn now houses the community library and the council chamber, while the tithe house, which was renovated in 1986, is the community's cultural center. The Bergrheinfeld Culture Week, which is held every year after the Whitsun holidays, attracts great attention.

There are also two nature reserves on the Bergrheinfeld area. The Altmainschleife Süd forms the "Alter Main" nature reserve near Bergrheinfeld, an important breeding and resting place for water birds. The Garstadt bird sanctuary is just as interesting for nature lovers.

In Garstadt, right on the Main, RV owners will find a free RV parking space for up to 10 RVs.
