Places to Visit
Frankenwinheim
Located between the Main Valley and Steigerwald, Frankenwinheim is one of the oldest villages in Franconia. The first documentary mention goes back to the year 779. With its district of Brünnstadt, the municipality has almost 1,000 inhabitants.
Frankenwinheim has a beautiful townscape, in the competition "Our village should be more beautiful" the community was able to win a gold medal at the state level and a silver medal at the federal level. The place fits into an attractive landscape and offers many opportunities to actively experience nature. For example, walks and hikes through the "Frankenwinheimer Rosenberg" vineyards, on the Lülsbach with its old pollinated willow trees or in the bird and nature reserve around Lake Hörnau are worthwhile.
Many associations provide numerous offers and festivals throughout the year that make the community known beyond its borders.
