Places to Visit
Dingolshausen
The Dingolshausen wine community lies at the foot of the Steigerwald and was very important in the high Middle Ages. Proof of this is the existence of a palace and an administrative courtyard. The district of Bischwind is much smaller and older. Especially the pilgrimage chapel "Maria Helferin", which is located on a hill on the outskirts, has made Bischwind well known.
Dingolshausen is the ideal starting point for cycling and hiking tours, possible destinations are the Stollburg or Zabelstein. The vineyards of the "Dingolshäuser Köhler" location, the Franconian hospitality and the town of Gerolzhofen, only two kilometers away, with its sights and leisure activities round off the tourist offer for a short break in the Steigerwald.
A special feature is the regional center "Frei: Raum", in which conferences of supra-regional importance as well as events of local associations take place.
