The Stollberg rises almost 400 meters above Handthal. The Handthaler Stollburg vineyard extends into the steep slopes. It is the highest vineyard in Franconia. A breathtaking view rewards you on the way up.

But don't rush! While you slowly climb up the steep stairs, you can discover the wine history of the world on the handrail. And that is remarkable, the beginnings of wine began over 8,000 years ago.

Not only the wine is steeped in history, but also this special place in the Handthal. Walther von der Vogelweide is said to have been recovered from the castle ruins above.
